Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Gear: Everything we expected them to, and nothing more

As previously announced, Samsung is at the mobile world congress where it revealed its new flagship phone Galaxy S5 which is found to be previously rumoured, and even the occasional addition of questionable usefulness. Samsung's JK Shin at the beginning of the presentation explained how they asked users what they want from the next version, and it seems that they did not have much fantasy.

Simplicity, good design, good camera, long battery life and allegedly functionality for fitness-

These are the answers that Samsung claims to have received and which led to the creation of the new S5. All in all, again, he noticed the tried formula – slightly larger screen, a better processor, and slightly more pixels.

Specifically, the new OLED display device has 5.1 inches (as opposed to 5 inches on the Samsung S4), the resolution is still 1080p, and the new is that the brightness adapts to external conditions. There are so special and low lighting for those moments when you're in a place with dim light and do not want your phone to be a lighthouse where you can read all the messages over your shoulder.

And the battery is better, according to Samsung, promising 10 hours of surfing, 12 hours of watching videos and a new ultra-saving mode shuts down all but the most basic features and the screen switches to black and white version to continue to use the device with very little remaining battery power. Ten percentage of the battery would take up the whole 24 hours. That is one of the best features.

Sensors and biometric characteristics

Below the camera is situated a counter Hearth pulse meter, the first such sensor on Samsung's mobile device, which should fit into the "fitness" of the story. Such a sensor would be given its meaning in conjunction with, for example, Galaxy gear, but Samsung's smart watch also boasts the same sensor, so its utility remains questionable.

The game is another sensor, one for fingerprints integrated in the central display above the keys, through which the withdrawal of certain fingers can unlock your phone, log in to an application, such as PayPal, or view some of the files you want to protect yourself from other people's views.

The problem with this is that the fingerprint scan is a method which has been a serious ailment readers and that makes them almost unusable. Apple Touch ID this problem elegantly bypassed sensor which is just enough to touch, but remains to be seen whether Samsung's reader in the daily practice shows a good addition or ire of users who have five times drag your finger across the screen in order to hit the speed.

All this, of course, wrapped up in a good old Samsung’s plastic casing, this time with a perforated background that somewhat resembles the Galaxy Note 3 and comes in black, blue, white and (of course) a gold colour. The device apparently is not sensitive to water and dust, which means that you can watch a video while bathing without damaging the device, but it should not slip in the tub.

Gear in the three costume

When it comes to smart clock, Samsung then at its conference discovered three - namely, the three versions of the same piece of wearable technology, reports Cnet. Samsung Gear 2 and Gear Neo 2 are quite similar, although the latter is slightly lighter version, devoid of the camera
Except for the lack of cameras, Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo share the Super AMOLED screen of 1.63 inches and 320 × 320 pixels below which is a home button. Much of the focus is on fitness, and all versions are equipped with a pedometer and pulse meter and different applications that monitor your health and fitness.

Neo comes in different colors and more shoots to the sporty look, but the boa models still make clumsy. Gear Galaxy Fit is their antithesis a small thin device that is easily attached to the rubber band. In itself, despite its size contains a gyroscope, pedometer and counter Hearth pulsemeter, and his fitness is an obvious purpose.

In addition to the redesign, the biggest news is the change of the operating system that is no longer modified Android, but Samsung's own system Tizen but when it comes to user interface and usage hours, hardly anyone will notice the difference apparently.
In any case, Samsung's devices are all what we expect of them - with slightly better specifications than previous models, reliable and without major changes, jumps and wow effect. It should become available in May of this year, and the price is still unknown.
